The RICOH XR 500 is classic manaul 35mm SLR film camera. This camera features a light meter , timer and not a whole lot else, which allows you to concentrate on taking photos.
I found this camera took quite moody photos with the Vivitar 28mm-85mm lens which is also super versatile. You can take super wide shots or zoom right in with macro/ telephoto.
Great for the begginer to intermediate wanting an SLR camera with all the basics and nothing too fancy or hard to grasp

Overall this camera is good to very good condition for age. All features working as they should.


Appearance


Overall this camera is good cosmetic condition. Nothing stands out , usual wear.



Optical Quality

The viewfinder of this camera is clear and mostly clean with small specs of dust, as is usual for old SLR cameras. This does not effect picture quality ( see pictures).

The lens is clean with no signs of mold, hazing or scratches.

The 28mm to 85mm ( and macro ) lens makes this lens extremly versatile and allows for beautiful close ups and just a bout any composition you like. 


Functionality

This camera has been film tested (see pictures) and at time of shooting all functions were working exactly as they should including timer
